China - 25 Years Later
The Tiananmen Square incident didn't affect how China is today. They are still under the People's Republic of China, and are still a communist government. Many still live in poverty, causing poor living conditions. They have media censorship, causing things not to be leaked to the public, which isn't the case in other countries. In fact, it has not been admitted that the protests even happened. Chinese citizens cannot vote, do not have the freedom of speech or the freedom of the press, and cannot worship their beliefs freely. Although the college students persistently fought for freedom, it was not granted to them.
